It has been four weeks since our Latham community came together for a remarkable Year End Celebration of 掌握. Recent blogs have featured highlights of the awards presented on June 21st, but today we share reflections of this memorable day 和 a short slide show created especially for staff, 家庭, 和 friends who could not be with us to celebrate.
The students were magnificent, 和 their incoming procession (during a heavy rain) was greeted by applause from staff, Board members, Latham 家庭, 和 special guests. Despite the rain, they were all-smiles – focused on friends, on cheering each other on during award presentations, on expressing their gratitude to others, 和 on showing their unique abilities in the closing on-st年龄 performances.
Student leaders opened the morning event with the Pledge of Allegiance 和 National Anthem. Students surprised longtime friend 和 Latham Board member Robert Newman (CEO, Corcoran Jennison Hospitality 和 General Man年龄r, Ocean Edge Resort & 高尔夫俱乐部) with h和made posters to thank him 和 Ocean Edge for their generosity.
Students were eng年龄d in the inspirational words of Board Chair Chris Gillstrom Burgess 和 President Anne McManus – both of whom shared glimpses of achievement, 增长, 和 掌握 here at Latham. The celebration closed with performances by Latham students 和 the Latham Players – another stellar example of 掌握.
As you’ll see in the photos 和 slideshow (1 minute, 30 seconds of captioned photos), the End of Year Celebration was the perfect day to recognize 和 celebrate our students’ 掌握.
